^{Just over 24 hours to go before hockey is officially back}

The Utah Mammoth took a step forward in their quest for the Cup, and that journey starts tomorrow. Following a strong, but brief, showing against the eventual Western Conference Champion, the Mammoth got their first taste of what it will take to go deep into the playoffs.

Bill Armstrong had an extremely strong off-season. New York Islanders captain Anders Lee inked a free agent deal, the departure of JJ Peterka for (effectively) Sebastian Cossa and a pick, and a trade bringing in face-off superstar Vincent Trocheck all bolster areas that we all saw were weak points last year.

Tomorrow, the quest begins. For now, hope abounds.
